Venus is in Libra from 9/14 - 10/9
After several weeks in Virgo’s house of health, service and all around self-improvement, Venus felt completely rejuvenated. She was also tired of the daily work routine and ready to have some fun.
Eager to reclaim her title as the most popular goddess in the zodiac. and headed straight into the most sociable sign of the zodiac and one especially near and dear to her heart: Libra.
As the natural ruler of Libra, Venus is the Mistress of the Seventh House and presides over all one-to-one relationships. Although Venus in Libra justifiably conjures up thoughts of romantic unions, other relationships live in the Seventh House as well, such as business partners, closest friends or even our competitors.
However, while Venus is in Libra, those who are single are likely to yearn for a relationship while those already attached are likely to crave greater commitment. While it is true that Venus in Libra stimulates our desire for partnership, it is Saturn’s presence in this sign that inspires our need for an enduring one.
According to the goddess of love, the secret to having a successful, loving and enduring relationship with another is to first be in a committed loving relationship with yourself, and as she moves forward through this sign she offers us the opportunity to appreciate our unique gifts and become comfortable in our own skin.
As long as Venus is in Libra, we will continue to learn about committed love. What we learn during this time will help prepare us for the next lesson, which is scheduled to begin on October 9. On that day, Venus will cross into Scorpio and begin teaching us about the transforming power of love.
In the meantime, since Libra also speaks to balance, compromise, and harmony the energy of this transit is excellent for all types of negotiations, especially those that establish boundaries or mend fences.
